Oh my... I know it has been so long but my blog has been blocked at work and I am way to busy to blog at home lol lol!!!! Please enjoy

Wedding stuff and Projects!!
I have been very busy since we got engaged trying to plan our wedding. My whole theme for the wedding is recycle and reuse and most of all be resourceful!!
I started with the 4 little flower girl dresses:Lace curtains ($4.00)
A roll of off white fabric that I found at a thrift store for only ($2.00)
Elastic that I already had (free)
Organza that I did have to purchase because I couldn’t find anything at any of the thrift stores ($5.00)
Long strands of pearls ($3.00)
Baylee's
Katherine's
Marissa's
Kenley's

Next was the maid of honor dress:
I found this dress at a thrift store that I had never been to and the color jumped out at me. I hadn’t been able to pick a color for my wedding yet but when I saw this olive green color it was perfect.
Dress ($2.00).
This is the exact dress before I decided to revamp it for my wedding. I forgot to take a before picture but I pulled up the name on the tag and it came right up in google.
Before

Final Dress!

Sadly after all that work and an awesome dress, the olive green still was not what I wanted. So I finally just made a new one in an off white cream color that matches the flower girls dresses and I love it!!!

of course I had to try it on!!!
There's no back in it however I forgot to take a picture of that. Luckily everyone that has seen it likes it better than the green one for the wedding!! It is also made out of all recycled material! Lace Table Cloth ($5.00), slip ($3.00).

Special Wedding Project: shhhhhhh!!
I have been working on my special project for the wedding but I will not put it on here until after the wedding because I’m afraid unwanted eyes will look at the blog aka the fiance.

Ring Bearer Pillow!
I made the ring bearer pillow and it matches the little girl dresses. I have to finish adding the flowers to the pillow, dresses, and head pieces. I'm not totally a %100 sold on the flowers on the pillow but Mitch really likes it.
The pillow was made out of left over lace from the girls dresses and some silk for the trip. I also made the two small flowers out of silk.

My Bouquet Decision!
I haven’t decided on what I want to use for my bouquet either my nanny’s hand muff that she used in her wedding that was her mother’s or a brooch bouquet but I don’t know what flowers I am using yet and if they would go well on the muff or not.
As you can see I chose to carry my nanny's hand muff and turned it into a brooch bouquet as well I got both of the things that I wanted!! Perfect!!!

I'm lucky enough to have pins and brooches from my mom, grandma, and nanny including ear bobs, necklaces, and then some of the bigger brooches I found and a thrift store and estate sale.

Flower Girl Baskets!
I did make the little girls flower baskets I am so tickled with the way they turned out. I used 4 of the same doilies that I found at a local antique and auction store. Doilies ($2.00 each) Soaked them in a cornstarch, glue mixture and laid them over some plastic pots to dry for a couple of days. Then I wrapped some wire in scraps of batting and olive green ribbon that matches the maid of honor’s dress perfectly.  I think I will end up putting some flowers on the baskets as well to match the dresses.

Here are pictures of all the flowers, favor bags, and head pieces:

Favor Bags!
The favor bags with daffodil bulbs in them
The bags were made out of huge burlap bags that I got from a coffee shop for free!! I got about 75 bags out of each one.

Head Pieces!
My flower that will be attached to my veil! The pearl flower is actually from my mother's veil!

This is one of the 4 flower girl head pieces, they are made out of organza fabric, left over lace, and hand bands wrapped in ribbon.

The Invitation!

For the center pieces we are using recycled wine bottles that I have collected from family, friends, and restaurants that would rather give them away instead of throwing them in the garbage or recycling bin.

Hopefully I can gather up enough little bottles for some candles to sit next to each wine bottle.

I have tried collecting old lace table clothes for the table at the reception or at least maybe the food, cake, present tables, etc. They are pretty cheap when you can find them. Usually around ($5.00).
I was able to buy 22 wine glasses at the habitat store for only 6 dollars including 4 beer glasses that we will have engraved for his dad and brothers, by my dad's friend Martin.

I need some ideas to make a gift for my maid of honor, I was thinking maybe a clutch and maybe like a basket full of some different things only because she loves that. I want to get each little girl a jewelry box, because the first and only time I was a flower girl that is what they got me was a little silver jewelry box and I thought that was the greatest thing. I still have it!!
